If I ever die
If I ever die,
let fragrant jasmine rest
on my grave.
Let white jasmine
full of blossoms spread,
and intoxicate with its fragrance.
If I go, and if my soul
stays on this side for some time,
don’t fear of my shadow, of my eyes at night.
I’ll protect, I’ll defend you from evil.
I’ll say good-bye to you,
when I’m ready.
If I go without a word, know I’ve loved you,
although we never shared
my endless roads.
Because, it’s not me leaving.
It’s just my shape
destined for this life.
It won’t be me going,
but something made of stars
to be returned, by a gentle touch,
to the vault of stars,
to be returned to eternity
where it belonged long ago.
I’m never the one going away! |
